Welcome to the Festival of Cultures |
|
The Festival of Cultures is a great time to celebrate cultural diversity in Palmerston North, Manawatu. It brings together a large number of people every year and everyone enjoys the entertainment from a wide range of ethnic groups from all parts of the world throughout the week. We will have music and dance, amazing food and activities for the children. Complementing the entertainment, information stalls will be available and many craft displays. Many different venues get involved with the Festival especially the Library, Te Manawa and this year for the first time Wharerata, Massey. This Festival is made up of mainly free events, very family friendly. Join in the sharing of the very things we all have in common and that are so wonderful to enjoy in their diversity - the food, song and dance of our planet. The Festival of Cultures is a Palmerston North City Council core event and is organised by Lancewood Event Management. Come along and celebrate at the World Food, Craft and Music Fair the colourful cultural diversity of our region with lots of different music and dance performances from various countries and cultures; the stage will feature performances by the many talented migrants from our area. We are reminded that we are all global neighbours, coming together to live more closely in our wonderful province.
