“A Taste of Culture”
"A Taste of Culture” starring Ray McVinnie and Richard Till is the latest in food experiences in Palmerston North. For the first time the Festival of Cultures in association with the Manawatu Chef’s Association will be holding a Cuisine Show – “A Taste of Culture”. The event will showcase as many local products as possible such as cheese, olives, olive oil, honey, chocolate, cakes and confectionary, fudge, biscuits, bread, processed food and fresh produce and many more will take centre stage.
Alongside these wonderful stalls will be two invited Celebrity Chef’s; Chef and TV personality Richard Till and Cuisine Magazine food editor and food columnist for the Sunday Star Times, Ray McVinnie. The Celebrity Chef’s will demonstrate their skill in a two-course cultural dish creation during the day and will be available for discussion after their demonstration. There will also be demonstrations by other local chefs and cuisine experts. Producers will use it as a unique chance to present, showcase, promote, and sell their products direct to the public and the public has a unique opportunity to taste, compare, buy and learn more about local products at their leisure. This is the experience not to be missed.
